Angel Rivera

Anchorage resident Angel Rafael Rivera, 27, died June 3, 2007, at Alaska Regional Hospital.
A visitation will be at noon, with a service at 1 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St. Pallbearers will include Confesor E. Rivera, Carl Carlough, Edgardo Santiago and Darin Cooper. Burial will be at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Rivera was born Oct. 10, 1979, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He moved to Alaska in 2002 and worked as a cook.
He enjoyed fishing, driving four-wheelers, having fun, cooking and spending time with his family.
His family wrote: "(Angel was) a person who was loved, cared for, appreciated and respected by all. (He was) like a brother to his friends and family. He'll be missed by all."
Survivors include his father, Angel Rafael Rivera of Puerto Rico; brother, Confesor E. Rivera of Anchorage; sisters, Luz M. Rivera of Anchorage, Lena J. Rivera of Puerto Rico; daughter, Eloni Phillips of Anchorage; and son, Angel Rafael Rivera III of Anchorage.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Mae Rivera.
