by Your Alaska Link News Team

It was a sad day in Alaska sports, as we heard of the passing of former UAA Athletic Director Dr. Steve Cobb.  The news comes as UAA gets set to open their brand new, state of the art Alaska Airlines Center, one of many projects spearheaded by Dr. Cobb during his 12 year tenure as a Seawolf.

In the spirit of sport, we also take you to South Anchorage high school as John Thompson breaks down the South vs. Service tennis matchup.

Steve > was a good Man and person. He was a straight shooter and told you the way it way. It would talk but he would also listen. Our prayers are with his Family.
