There were two key prep hockey games in Anchorage on Saturday night.  South was looking to stay unbeaten, heading to the Olympic sheet at Coach Mac's Place to take on the Mustangs.  While West was vying for the third spot in the Cook Inlet Conference, going head-to-head with third place Service.  Chugiak coming strong off a win against Service, the Cougars looking to bounce back with a four point lead over West in the standings.

The Eagles would edge out a 2-1 win over Service, thanks to a late goal courtesy sophomore Ryder Schwamm.  West has now won 8 in a row, heading into Thursday's match-up with South.  The Wolverines stayed unbeaten atop the CIC, after a 5-1 win over Chugiak.

Dimond is in second, four points behind South.  The Lynx take on South-Side rival Service, Friday Night at the Ben Boeke Ice Arena.  The military will be honored in a big way, celebrating the Men and Woman, and their families, who sacrifice so we can live the American dream.
