ANCHORAGE, Alaska--UAA Women's Basketball head coach Ryan McCarthy can breathe a sigh of relief.

The Seawolves picked up their first win of the season due in large part to a balanced offensive scoring attack. Five players tallied double-digits in the scoring column. UAA also managed to squeeze out 22 assists, with nine of them coming from Sasha King, the game's high scorer (18).

While assists and free-throw percentages can sometimes be overlooked--UAA was a perfect 12 for 12 from the free-throw line.

Regis University shot 53.1% from the field in the game, but also gave up 25 turnovers. The Seawolves limited their turnovers to 13.

The Seawolves open up this year's Great Alaska Shootout with North Dakota State on Tuesday. NDSU (2-1) has wins over Harvard and Mayville State. In their last contest, Boise State defeated the Bisons by 19.
