Seawolves Block the Shock

 ANCHORAGE, Alaska--All it took was a first half spark from Colton Lauwers and the Seawolves to tame Washington-Adventist on Thursday night.

Lauwers created havoc in the first half by racking up 11 points early. He had 16 total in the game.

For the Seawolves, Kyle Fossman and Abebe Demissie added 14 and 12, respectively.

UAA had a field day with blocked shots--they tallied nine in the game. That number is two shy of the all-time Seawolf record.

The Seawolves entered into the 2nd half with a 20 point lead over the Shock, but let it dwindle away due in part to some improved shooting from Washington-Adventist. The Shock shot less than 18 percent from the field in the first half, but more than doubled that percentage in the latter half.

The "Green and Gold" are looking golden at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex--they've now won 20 of their past 21 home games.

UAA (3-0) will have another match-up against Washington-Adventist on Saturday night.
