Girls Hockey: Service/East 5,  South/Bartlett 4

Service and East utilized a balanced scoring attack with a goal in the first and second periods, and three goals in the final period to notch a win. Amy Brassard  and Kerianne Hansen each netted two goals in the win.

South/Bartlett carried a lead late into the 3rd period after Melanie Bartenstein's power-play goal with 5:07 left in the game; however, the Service/East team fought their way back with two unanswered goals to win.

Mat-Su 6, Chugiak/Eagle River 2

Hat's off to Mat-Su's Keanna Hawk. She grabbed a hat-trick in the winning contest by the end of the 2nd period. Hawk scored the team's first two goals. Johnna Elkins added another two goals for the Valley team.

Chugiak/Eagle River only managed 10 shots on goal in the contest, but Autumn Sperry and Holly Linder potted two goals for the team. 

Boys Hockey: South 2,  East 0

Goalie Nathan Wright blocked all 16 shots on goal in the Wolverine's win. No scoring in the first period, but South got on the board with a goal by Tanner Congdon (assists to Steven Orizotti and Daniel Haider).

The Thunderbirds had 12 penalties in the contest. Goalie Owen Carlson had an impressive night--blocking 32 of 34 shots on goal.

Wasilla 4,  Eagle River 2

The Wolves of Eagle River jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals from George Platt and Carter Jesiel; however, the Warriors scored four unanswered goals in the victory.

Wasilla's Jack Reeves and Cooper Hanson had a goal and assist in the game. Eagle River's Dalton Gally had a pair of assist in the match, as well.
