ANCHORAGE, Alaska--All good streaks have to come to an end at some point. For the West Eagles, Thursday's 9-0 loss to the South High Wolverines ended their 8-game winning streak.

South rushed to a 5-0 lead before the end of the first period. Cayden Cahill tallied his only two goals on the night in the first period.

Steven Orizotti, Payton McSharry and Daniel Haider all found the net as well in the first. Orizotti also provided three assists in the contest.

Cameron Klatt scored a power-play goal with 5:36 remaining in the second period to push the Wolverine lead to half a dozen.

Croix Evingston, Tyler Onstott and Kory Cain all added a goal in the waning minutes of the game to push the Wolverines ahead to the final score of 9-0.

West only managed to find 18 shots on goal. South almost doubled that number with 35 shots.
