ASD Dissolves High School Girls Hockey

ANCHORAGE, Alaska--The Anchorage School District announced on Wednesday afternoon that the high school sport of girls hockey would be dissolved.

Derek Hagler, a High School Education Supervisor, cited a failure of steady growth in the high school sport as the reason behind the dismissal.

This past season, 83 students participated in high school girls hockey. That number was drastically lower than what the ASAA and ASD envisioned.
