ANCHORAGE, Alaska--

Final (girls basketball): Dimond 54, Bartlett 50 (OT)

The Lynx slipped past Bartlett on Thursday night with a four point overtime win. Dimond jumped out to a 19-12 lead at the end of the first period, but only managed to put up 6 points in the following quarter.

Bartlett outscored Dimond in the second and third quarters by 10 points, with some good shooting by Kiera Stokes and Nadine Fraker. Both finished with 20 points on the night.

Fraker pulled in a double-double with 10 rebounds.

For the Lynx--an abysmal shooting performance (29.4%) gave way to decent stats. Karenna Liggon shot 4 of 14 from the field to finish with 15 points.

Ione Fischer, Sierra Afoa and Kaylynn Haywood all racked up 10 points in the win.

Final (boys basketball): Dimond 55, Bartlett 52

Bartlett carried a 10 point lead into the third and fourth quarters, but was unable to stop a ferocious offensive attack from the Lynx late in the contest.

None of the Bartlett players managed to tally double-digits in the points column, but the team was led by Iziah Sherman Newsome and Elijah Williams--who each had nine points on the night.

The Lynx capitalized on 25 Golden Bears turnovers in the game by scoring 17 points off of those said turnovers.

Stanson Afoa collected a double-double with 13 points and 12 total rebounds. Damon Cikanek and Payton Lauwers added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Dimond doubles Bartlett's offensive production in the fourth quarter by scoring 16 points. They win by three in the Cook Inlet Conference match.

Final (boys basketball): West 61, East 60

In a game that saw numerous lead changes--The Eagles of West High pulled away in the third quarter from East by 10 points.

But the Thunderbirds of East clawed their way back. With less than six minutes to play, that 10 point lead was cut to a single point, but West tallied late free-throws to push ahead.
