ANCHORAGE, Alaska--It was a "blink, and you'll miss it" type of game.

The second place Dimond Lynx unleashed a flurry of goals in the first period. Five in the first five minutes, to be exact.

Josh Larson collected a hat-trick in the blowout win. Two of his three goals came in that beginning five minute stretch.

The Lynx rattled off 27 shots, and scored 14 times.

For Dimond, 10 players tallied a goal in the contest. Nine goals in the first period, and five more goals in the remaining two push the Lynx past Chugiak, 14-0. The Lynx advance to the semifinals, and earn a berth in the state tournament.

Final: Dimond 14, Chugiak 0

EAGLE RIVER, Alaska--It was a battle of the "Tortoise and the Hare" up the road at the McDonald Memorial Complex on Tuesday night.

The Eagle River Wovles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period courtesy of goals from Carter Jesiel and Quinn Huise. The second goal for Eagle River came short-handed by a nice rebound off of Service goalie Dustin Fritz.

But Service proved it's all about scoring "slow and steady".

The Cougars jumped onto the scoreboard in the second period with goals from Brad Kuper and Karson Frisk. Michael Stephens, Luke Cooley, Andrew Cummings and Kirby Graff each put up an assist on those two goals.

The shot of the night might have come from Miles Giorgione. His near-blue line shot put the puck in the top-shelf, right corner--and ultimately gave the Cougars the lead for the first time in the game.

Service would add an insurance goal in the final period to go up 4-2. That goal came at the hands of Kirby Graff.

The Cougars reach the Cook Inlet Conference's "Final Four"--they'll take on Dimond.

Final: Service 4, Eagle River 2
