South Routs Bartlett, Remain Unbeaten
ANCHORAGE, Alaska--There's a saying that you should "score early and often".
The South High Wolverines hockey team must have been told that statement before Tuesday's match against the Bartlett Golden Bears.
The Wolverines scored six goals within the first 8 minutes of the match.
Cameron Klatt lit the lamp for two goals in the contest, including the first goal of the game less than 3 minutes after puck-drop.
Steven Orizotti added two goals as well.
South High only took 15 seconds to score the third and fourth goals of the game--those coming off Orizotti and Daniel Haider.
Bartlett had only five shots on goal in the entire game. Compare that to the 61 shots on goal the Wolverines were able to put up.
FINAL: South 12, Bartlett 0
Brandi Muller of Dimond-West scored the game's only goal in the first period. Alexanora Brodie added an assist on the play.
Service-East only managed to tally 11 shots on goal.
FINAL: Dimond-West 1, Service-East 0
Keanna Hawk added the last two goals for the Mat-Su team. Amanda Engan had an assist in the first, and scored a goal in the second.
Chugiak-Eagle River had a pair of goals from Samantha Perez in the second period, but were unable to tally a single goal in the final period.
FINAL: Mat-Su 5, Eagle River-Chugiak 3
