Two 17-year-old boys suspected of robbing a south Anchorage gas station are in custody at McLaughlin Youth Center.

Anchorage police say a silent "holdup" alarm was tripped shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday from the Holiday station on Huffman Road.

Dispatchers called an employee, who said the station had just been robbed.

Employees say one person wearing a mask pointed a handgun at a clerk and demanded cigarettes and money. The clerk handed over the cigarettes and cash and the suspects fled.

Police with dogs tracked the suspects to a home in a nearby neighborhood. Police say they found the boys, along with evidence linking them to the robbery.

Police say they're seeking a third person in the incident.
