ANCHORAGE - 12 units were dispatched to a Hillside home immersed in flames Sunday night.

911 calls from neighbors and passers by sent fire crews to the home located at 10600 Birch Rd.

According to Anchorage fire department senior captain Mike Murphy, the single family home was unoccupied when crews arrived on scene.

Firefighters used special tender trucks that are filled with 2,500 gallons of water, because of limited access to hydrants on Hillside.

Officials say no injuries occurred as a result of this fire.
