APD debut new public safety vehicle

by Brooks Putman

ANCHORAGE-Hitting the streets in style, The Anchorage Police Department welcomes a brand new public safety car to their fleet.

The new dodge charger will be one of the police department's main public safety cars. The car will be stocked with flyers and safety tips to hand out at schools and public events.

APD Chief Mark Mew even joked he can't wait to show off the new vehicle to the State Troopers, who recently got a new van.

Chief Mew announced a hot rod like this is no good without a name. Anyone interested in naming the dodge can pick up a coloring sheet and return it to GCI stores.

The charger is donated by Anchorage chrysler dodge jeep and GCI. It was designed by Anchorage's Spawn advertising agency.
