300 More JBER Soldiers to Return Home

U.S. Army Alaska officials say in a statement that about 300 soldiers will arrive Tuesday evening at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON — More Alaska-based soldiers will be returning home from Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Alaska officials say in a statement that about 300 soldiers will arrive Tuesday evening at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.

About 3,500 soldiers from the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division deployed nearly a year ago.

About 1,400 have already returned. The remaining 2,100 brigade soldiers will return over the next two weeks.
