Alaska Command Continues Colony Glacier Crash Site Recovery

by Whitney LB Miller

ANCHORAGE - A recovery mission is still ongoing two years late at Colony Glacier where military officials are fighting against time and the weather to recover a 60 year old crash site.

Team Alaska has made the recovery of a 1952 military aircraft a critical mission, so far air efforts are complete and officials say there is still work to be done on the ground.

Because of weather conditions recovery can only be completed during the summer months.
