Alaska Unemployment Rate Slightly Up From May

State labor officials say Alaska's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in June was 6.1 percent, compared with the national rate of 7.6 percent.

ANHCORAGE- State labor officials say Alaska's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in June was 6.1 percent, compared with the national rate of 7.6 percent.
Alaska's June unemployment rate was up two-tenths of a percentage point from May's rate.
Officials say June's rate, though a slight increase over May, is still close to pre-recession lows.
