Police Arrest Man Accused of Midtown ShootingPolice: Victim in Critical ConditionANCHORAGE -- A man accused of shooting his ex-roommate and then fleeing the scene, Tuesday, is now behind bars. According to APD, 27-year-old Phathasinh Veet Sihabout allegedly shot 24-year-old Lorne Gayzagian. The incident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday. APD responded to the 2400 block of Eureka near Fireweed after receiving multiple 911 calls stating a man was lying in the road. APD spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said Gayzagian suffered a gun shot wound to the torso, and he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition to undergo surgery. Sihabout is set to be arraigned in Anchorage Jail Court, Wednesday afternoon. He has been charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon.
