Three employees and 2 guests were stranded from more than 5 hours until help arrived. According to reports Catie Quinn, 15, suffered a cut to her head and a concussion when a 45 mph gust of wind sent her tram car into a 150 ft tower. Officials say about 80 people dining at Seven Glaciers, the resorts mountain top restaurant, were evacuated by snow cat and chairlift. The resort says they have flown in specialists to inspect and help repair the tram, which they say could take a couple of weeks. Currently officials say they would like to open both the restaurant and the tramway before the season is over. Since the incident the resort has opened chair six to help facilitate those getting up the mountain. The tram will remain closed until all repairs are complete. |
