Anchor Pt. Man Charged with Arson in Trailer Fire

ANCHOR POINT, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers have arrested an Anchor Point man after he allegedly set fire to a trailer and hid in the woods with firearms while firefighters put out the blaze.

Reports say 33-year-old Trevor Cole was arrested Thursday as he was running away from a "live-in style travel trailer" engulfed in flames.

Authorities say Cole carried a rifle, a concealed handgun and marijuana.

Investigators believe Cole set the trailer aflame after a "falling-out" with the trailer's owner - whom he had previously granted permission to park on his property. Cole allegedly hid in the woods nearby until the fire department left the scene.

Cole was charged with 2nd-degree arson and two misconduct charges involving weapons and controlled substances. He was taken to Homer jail.
