Anchorage City Budget

ANCHORAGE, AK- Lawmakers in Juneau are not the only politicians waiting for session to wrap up.

At Tuesday's Anchorage Assembly meeting, the Assembly made a motion to delay its budget debate.

Members say the city budget is contingent upon decisions made in Juneau.
"Depending on what the state passes is a direct correlation on what the city would have to input to their ASD budget.  So we have to wait to see what happens with that allocation before we know for sure what is gonna happen with our budget," says Assembly Member Amy Demboski.
The Anchorage Assembly re-scheduled its budget talks for April 28th.
There, Assembly members will address their amendments and discuss what to do with the 13 million dollar surplus.
