Anchorage Gas Prices On a Steady DeclineANCHORAGE - Gasoline prices across Anchorage followed a national downward trend, the average was $3.38 a gallon on Monday, according to GasBuddy.com. Since October the price has been of gasoline has been on the decline, with a fall of .80 cents in Anchorage. Consumer Reports say the national average is about 3 cents above the price this time last year. According to reports the national average has decreased 19.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 1.3 cents per gallon higher than one year ago. Nelson Garrett, Owner of Garrett's Tesoro on the corner of Arctic and Int'l Airport Rd. say the lower prices are making customers happy. "everybody is happy we're going to have a white Christmas and that the prices have gone down," said Garrett. |
