ANCHORAGE - Donald Leroy Williams, 49, faced a judge Friday (3/8) for allegedly stabbing and killing his relative Henry Ningeok, 23, after a heavy night of drinking.

Police say they responded to an east Anchorage trailer on Newell St. Thursday night; the caller indicated there was blood everywhere, according to charging documents.

Upon arrival, officials discovered Ningeok suffering from a stab wound to the chest, and he was declared dead shortly after.

Details are unclear as to what happened exactly, however witnesses say at some point both men got into a fight which ended in the stabbing of Ningeok, according to documents.

Williams is charged with second-degree murder, an unclassified felony that carries a maximum sentence of 99-years in jail.  Williams' bail is set at $350,000 and he is due back in court next Tuesday.

When the judge asked the victim's father, who joined the hearing telephonically, if he would like to say anything about Williams' bail or conditions of release, he said, "I hope he doesn't get out. I don't want him out, because he hurt my son, my family and everybody else in my family."  Then he addressed Williams directly, "Donald, why did you do this? " to which he replied, "I'm sorry."

This is the 6th homicide this year, according to police.
