ANCHORAGE- Anchorage resident Greg Connors says it wasn't an average get home and go to bed kind of night.
"I got home form work and I looked out in my backyard. I saw what looked like a S.W.A.T. team going down stairs with their guns."
That's when Connors discovered the street he lived on was on lock down.
Anchorage police responded to call at 43 east 11th in reference to a physical disturbance that occurred earlier.
Court documents state Jeremiah Hancotte, a resident at W 11th Ave apartments, barricaded himself in his apartment, after holding his girlfriend hostage while pointing a gun to her head. Allegedly intoxicated and unresponsive to police, Hancotte refused to comply.
"We've now got resources here, we are trying to make contact in the apartment, but apparently they are not wanting to talk to us right now."
But after authorities received a warrant, they were able to subdue the subject without any incident.
"We made entry and contact with individual and took him into custody without incident."
Hancotte's bond was reportedly set at over $100,00, due to the severity of the charges. It is reported a baby was also in the residence, along with Hancotte and his girlfriend.
