ANCHORAGE - A 19-year-old man shot during an altercation in southwest Anchorage is in critical condition.

The man was found shot early Monday morning outside a home on Victor Road off Dimond Boulevard.

Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Dani Myren says that officers were called to the home at 1:24 a.m.

Witnesses say the teenager got into a fight with another man, and after one of them produced a handgun, they struggled over the gun.

She says a single round was fired and struck the 19-year-old in the upper body.

Myren says no one has been charged. She says everyone involved remained at the scene and was cooperating.
