Anchorage police have released the name of a bicyclist who died after being struck by a car last week.

ANCHORAGE- Anchorage police have released the name of a bicyclist who died after being struck by a car last week.

Police say 65-year-old Eldridge Griffith was pronounced dead at a local hospital following the crash Thursday in the city's midtown area.
Police and medics found the bicyclist unconscious on Northern Lights Boulevard near Minnesota Drive after they were called to the scene.
According to police, Griffith was traveling south across Northern Lights Boulevard when he was struck in the middle lane by the westbound car.
The collision is still under investigation and no charges or citations have been issued.
