ANCHORAGE-A food operation has taken the term "fast food" to a new level.

"A lot of people in the local area will call in and phone their orders and we have it ready as soon as they come up to the truck," Says Wheel Good Food owner Kathy Robinson.

If you offer your location, the restaurant on wheels will accelerate to your appetite. And today, Anchorage International Airport played host for the motorized eatery.

"Its just a different part of town we feel it's not a lot of restaurants, we like the idea of bringing good food, hot food to people a little bit closer."

They are known as Wheel Good Food. A family owned business that sprang up just a year ago. This isn't the first time we've heard of the concept, but running a mobile self contained, fully functioning kitchen smack down in the middle of winter?

"Its' not for the faint of heart keeping these temperatures from freezing up your water lines, and to stay warm enough in the truck," says Robinson.

Owner Kathy says dressing properly is key.

"Our hoods go and it just pulls all the air out. We wear some bunny boots and try to stay warm on the truck."

But while the temperatures are just as quick to drop, Kathy says their service is even faster.

"They just grab their food and continue on. We are pretty fast and can get people in and out pretty quick. "

Robinson says she will be open for business tomorrow at Hope Cottages. Part of her proceeds will be donated to the organization.
