ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have arrested a man suspected in what police describe as a drug-related shooting.

Reports say police arrested 23-year-old Sabre Pearl and charged him with assault and weapons misconduct. He is a suspect in the shooting of 31-year-old Eric Hammon on Tuesday. Hammon was shot several times in a west Anchorage apartment and remains in critical condition.

Police say the shooting occurred after Pearl and his girlfriend, Marissa Quimby-Hayes, went to the apartment to sell another person methamphetamine. Police say an argument ensued and Hammon was shot.

The real CRIME here is the methlabs. I haven't heard one word this month about a meth lab bust or rehab for meth addicts in Anchorage. You want to change our State, offer a process. We have spent Millions on sidewalk laws and NOTHING on the METH problem in Alaska. Shame on you Mayor Sullivan!
