Anchorage, AK-- Community officials of the Government Hill neighborhood say they've spotted a mother bear and her four cubs.

Neighbors say it's through their cautious and courteous actions that make's it easy for these black bears to co-exist in the north side subdivision. It's the second year in a row they've been sighted.

The Department of Fish and Game say if you come in contact with them, scream loud and act bigger than you are, black bears are skiddish and will usually run away.

If they appear aggressive and come off as a threat, report the incident to the Department of Fish and Game.
