Fans are getting ready to celebrate the success of the Seattle Seahawks.
The better business bureau of alaska is warning fans to be cautious of fake merchandise.
"Alaska is big Seahawks fans so there is counterfeit merchandise out there and of course there are counterfeit tickets out there too. People actually trying to go to a game so we are concerned people might be buying counterfeit merchandise. " Says Alaska Better Business Bureau Regional Manager Michelle Tabler.
As you can tell, the strong material is made out of nylon. Excaliber sports say fake material is made out of cotton or wool, so this is a very strong material. Also, another peice of fabric to look out for in terms of fake merchandise is the mesh along the side of the jersey. This mesh will actually stop in between the center. Now a fake one will have the mesh run all the way along the jersey. That's a sign that it is fake
"Beware of deals that are too good to be true, its inexpensive, its not anywhere near the merchandise would cost, you think you are getting deal but you are probably getting a counterfeit," Tabler says.
Phil Robertson is glad the better business bureau has the warning and is speading awareness.
Not only are counterfeit items illegal... but they hurt his bottom line.
"I'm glad the better business bureau is doing something because other people need to be aware that there are people in this town that are selling fake goods and it goes from jerseys to jordan shoes to dmv bags," Robinson says.
