Break up season not here yet.

ANCHORAGE,Ak- Just when you thought spring was around the corner, Alaska happens.

The sunny weather and warmer temperatures this past week proved to be a false sense to some Alaskans who thought break-up season was here.

And it all started when tiny snow flakes fell from the sky Tuesday afternoon. And that was a sign for things to come.

Not even twenty-four hours later and already some parts of the city saw up to 4 inches Wednesday.
The Valley was dumped on by over a foot, with no signs of stopping.

Which is good for snow plowers.

But bad for drivers.

To the average Alaskan, it's just another feature of the last frontier.

But whether you prefer warmer and sunny or cold and snowy, Alaska has no problem taking it in stride.

Just who thought? It's only the first of March. Still could get the biggest snowfall of this winter, look at the records Derek. Really is this news? Slow day? Welcome to AK !
