Burst pipe closes Anchorage high school

More than 1,640 students at one Anchorage high school are getting an unexpected day off.

The school district says in a release that a burst pipe on Monday has left parts of Service High School without water or electricity, and students have been dismissed for the day.

Officials say the high school is expected to be open on Tuesday.
