Child Wave of Immigrants Affects Alaska

Tools

by Gretchen Parsons

In the past few days the amount of unaccompanied children coming across the U.S. border has been staggering.

The surge of child immigrants has prompted the President to ask congress to approve a four billion dollar budget to assist the displaced children.

If congress votes against the President, nearly half of the funds for Alaska's Refugee Program will be funneled away to deal with the federal problem.

We need to stop this immigrants coming in to Alaska until the state gets a better control of this. To many leaders lying about how many they are bringing in. We cannot take care of the whole world. I'am not against this but we better control, like a committee of regular people not a bunch of politicians.
