ANCHORAGE - The Coast Guard teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Wednesday to help build their first community development in East Anchorage.

The Coast Guard has volunteered once a week for the month of November and plans to continue until the project is complete.

"were trying to come out until its finished," said Shane Montoya of the Coast Guard. "we'd like to go all the way through,"

Already at the one and a half year mark "Project Oklahoma" will take another three years to complete.

The final product will include 22 units, built with the help of volunteers and sponsors from the community.
