ANCHORAGE - Hundreds showed up for a rally against school budget cuts Saturday at the Loussac library.

A rally for education; teachers, students and parents showed up to make noise for what they say is an investment into Alaska's future.

Their biggest concern; raising the base student allocation for the first time in four years.

So far the governor has proposed an 81 dollar a year increase for the next three years.

Some school organizations say that number isn't enough and teachers are still in jeopardy of being cut.
