2 Emergency Landings in Less Than 2 Weeks

A Yute Air Cessna 207 carrying 2 passengers had to make an emergency landing on snow covered tundra Wednesday afternoon, 3 miles north of the village Akiachak.

ANCHORAGE - A Yute Air Cessna 207 carrying 2 passengers had to make an emergency landing on snow covered tundra Wednesday afternoon, 3 miles north of the village Akiachak.

Troopers say the incident happened less than 2 weeks after another Yute Air Cessna 207 carrying 5 passengers performed an emergency landing near the community of Tuluksak.

Nobody was injured in either incident.

The aircrafts sustained damage to the nose gear and propeller.
