ANCHORAGE- After quite a few hiccups, the state's online market place announced they successfully enrolled more than 800 Alaskans in 2013.

The organization is designed to help Alaskans sign up for private health insurance since the passing of Obamacare.

According to Enroll Alaska, the program hoped to help at least 1,000 Alaskans last year.

Admittedly, Enroll Alaska says there were probably some people who did not want to register because of the intitial online problems. Now, it appears positive word of mouth is getting more Alaskans to the centers.

Open enrollment for federally mandated insurance runs through the end of March, by which point the group hopes to get at least 8,000 insured across the Last Frontier.
