Firefighters Host Free Child Car Seat Check

Only one in five car seats found to be installed properly in Alaska.

Anchorage Firefighters will team with "Safe Kids Alaska" for a free community child car seat check on Saturday. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will provide seat examinations and offer parents safety tips.

The seat check will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Fire Station 12 located at 7920 Homer Drive off 76th and the New Seward Highway.
