We're recognizing Sergeant Stephen M. Temple.

He is assigned to Blackfoot Company, 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment (airborne).

Sergeant Temple grew up around the military since his dad was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB for his entire childhood.

He met his wife in 2006 and shortly after they were married, she deployed to iraq with the Army Reserves out of Louisiana.

He decided that it was his turn to do something important and lasting, so he enlisted as airborne infantry in May 2009 in Knoxville, TN.

Sergeant Temple has been married to his wife, Heidi, for 6 years, and they have a three year old daughter.
Sergeant Temple has served for 4 years now including a deployment in Afghanistan.
Sergeant Temple says his most memorable moment of his service has been earning his expert infantry badge, by parachuting from a helicopter into a lake- on purpose.
And when he's not jumping out of helicopters - he says he loves hunting, shooting, and fishing.
So we say thank you to Sergeant Stephen Temple for his service and all of the many sacrifices he continues to make for this awesome country we live in - called the USA.
