Hometown Hero: SFC Justin Burns

A special thanks to all of our hometown heroes!

Hometown Hero Sergeant First Class Justin Burns is a native of Valparaiso, Indiana, leaving his hometown on July 27, 2000 to serve the next 13 years as service member of the US Armed Forces.

Working hard during his career by attending training, such as airborne, air assault, and ranger school, SFC Burns has also deployed twice to Iraq (2004 & 2007) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and to Afghanistan, where he served during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012.

He is currently enjoying time with his wife and 2 kids dring his time back from deployment, and is looking forward to pursuing some of his interests, such as hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing.

A special thanks to SFC Justin Burns for his hardwork and sacrifices as he continues to serve this great nation.
