JUNEAU- Senate Minority Leader Hollis French says the majority's refusal to make committee assignment changes due to changes in minority leadership is troubling.

He says it does not foster good will.
The minority split up leadership for the 28th Legislature. Johnny Ellis served in that role for the first session and French this session.
French said there's no difference between this situation and the one on the House side. Rep. Beth Kerttula stepped down as minority leader Tuesday and announced plans to resign from the Legislature Friday.
Senate Majority Leader John Coghill says the situations are a bit different and a change in committee makeup wasn't seen as necessary.
A House panel on Wednesday made committee changes requested by the House minority to accommodate the change in leadership following Kerttula's decision.
