JBER takes precautions in the case of a live shooter

ANCHORAGE, Ak-- Lieutenant Colonel Bromen and all the members on JBER send their condolences to the families affected by the tragedy at Fort Hood Wednesday.

In the unlikely event of an post shooting, officials say family members and other employees on the base go into lock down mode.
 

And in a situation such as this one communication is key.


Bromen says the heartbreaking event at Fort Hood hasn't heightened precaustions on base here in the last frontier.

However, in the event something this tragic does occur the soldiers current training procedures will keep them prepared to take on a situation such as this one.
