ANCHORAGE- A lawsuit against the Department of Corrections is now in Superior Court.

Plaintiff and president of the Alaska Correctional Officers Association, Randall Mclellan filed the lawsuit tuesday.
Mclellan began working for the DOC in 1997.
He alledges he has been the target of unfair treatment for more than 5 years.
Court documents say Mclellan underwent excessive "retraining" where he was subject to getting sprayed in the face by pepper spray more times than normal.
At a press conference today, attorney David Shoup, representing Mclellan, mentioned Mclellan's concerns over his job security since filing the lawsuit.
"Well, he's been demoted. He's been subject to a special file where they're monitoring him, so I think it may be safe to say anyone who's under that may be concerned."
Mclellan was demoted in June of 2013 for Sergeant to Correctional Officer II.
