ANCHORAGE- Anchorage police say they don't know of a motive in an attack Tuesday on a Bartlett High School freshman as she walked to school.

21-year-old Rodney Stevens was charged with felony assault and ordered held on $5,000 bail.
Police say the girl noticed a man walking behind her and stopped on school property to let him pass.
Police say Stevens introduced himself as a fellow student and then struck the girl repeatedly in the face.
The girl was bleeding but ran inside the school. She was treated and released from a hospital.
Stevens was captured within a mile of the school.
Police Sgt. Cindi Stanton says the girl doesn't know Stevens and that the attack appeared to be "random craziness."
