Man Charged with Eluding, Smashing Into 2 Vehicles

Alaska State Troopers say an Anchorage driver was arrested after smashing into two vehicles in Fairbanks as he attempted to elude officers.

FAIRBANKS- Alaska State Troopers say an Anchorage driver was arrested after smashing into two vehicles in Fairbanks as he attempted to elude officers.

24-year-old Henry Mason Jr. was charged with failure to stop for a police officer, leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to report a collision and misdemeanor assault.
A caller just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday reported a man driving poorly west of Fairbanks.
Troopers attempted to pull Mason over on the Parks Highway. He continued driving, struck a vehicle at University Avenue and Johansen Expressway and another at Peger (PEG'-ur) Road and Phillips Field Road, where he caused an injury.
Mason and a passenger fled on foot but were caught.
Troopers say Mason was wanted on a weapons misconduct warrant.
