Man Charged With Stealing Truck Damaging Runway

Alaska State Troopers say an Ouzinkie man stole a pickup truck, damaged a gravel runway at the Kodiak Island community's airport and drove the truck off a 40-foot embankment.

KODIAK- Alaska State Troopers say an Ouzinkie man stole a pickup truck, damaged a gravel runway at the Kodiak Island community's airport and drove the truck off a 40-foot embankment.

21-year-old Andrew Panamarioff is charged with felony vehicle theft , obstructing an airport, reckless driving and violating conditions of release,
Troopers took a report Saturday that a 2009 pickup had been stolen from the Alaska Native Tribal Consortium and found demolished east of an air strip.
The truck had created more than 300 feet of tracks along gravel runways and ruts along one edge.
Troopers arrested Panamarioff in Kodiak where he sought medical treatment. He remained jailed Tuesday.
A message left with the public defender's office in Kodiak was not immediately returned.
