Mayor's Veto is Not Overridden

by Your Alaska Link News Team

ANCHORAGE - Tuesday, the Anchorage Assembly fell just one vote short of overturning the Mayor's veto of an ordinance to repeal AO 37 and an ordinance that was a softer approach to the Responsible Labor Act.

The Assembly voted 7-4 in favor of upholding the veto.

The measure will now appear on the state ballot.
