The Alaska Moose Federation joins a growing list of non-profits losing state funding following the 2013 legislative session.

Over the last two years the AMF claiming more than 600 dead moose from Alaskan highways, saving Alaska State Troopers 1,500 man hours.

Federation executive director Gary Olson is hopeful new arrangements can be secured over the summer. "We will be continuing our efforts to make up the difference by enhancing our private partnerships" Olson said.
