No serious injuries to students in bus-truck crash

Members of a high school cross-country ski team weren't seriously injured when a semitrailer struck a bus Friday on the Richardson Highway.

VALDEZ- Members of a high school cross-country ski team weren't seriously injured when a semitrailer struck a bus Friday on the Richardson Highway.

 
The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. Friday as the Kenai Central High School bus was en route to weekend meet in Valdez.
Valdez police say the bus driver sustained serious injuries, but there were no serious injuries reported by the 49 students on board the bus.
The Valdez School District sent buses to pick up the Kenai Central students and take them into town.
