A free ride home for you and your vehichle.

by Mike Ford

It’s the holiday season and as we gather to celebrate, The Anchorage Cabaret, Hotel, Restaurant and Retailers Association would like to remind you to “Drink Responsibly and Drive Responsibly” and as you celebrate consider getting a designated driver or an “Off the Road” safe ride home.

A licensed establishment calls a taxi to request service. Two taxis respond. One delivers the patron home, the second follows with the patrons vehicle.

The Service is available from Rabbit Creek Road to Fort Richardson, seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m.

So far 45 different establishments have given 2,679 rides since th program began in 2005.
